The following two parables show us God`s priority in the earth today.
**Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:1-7)
Tax collectors and sinners were all crowding around to listen to Jesus. So the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law of Moses started grumbling, `This man is friendly with sinners. He even eats with them.` Then Jesus told them this story: If any of you has a hundred sheep, and one of them gets lost, what will you do? Won`t you leave the ninety-nine in the field and go look for the lost sheep until you find it? And when you find it, you will be so glad that you will put it on your shoulder And carry it home. Then you will call in your friends and neighbors and say,`Let`scelebrate! I`ve found my lost sheep.`
Jesus said, `In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don`t need to.`
**Parable of the Lost Coin (Luke 15: 8 –10)
Jesus told the people another story: What will a woman do if she has ten silver coins and loses one of them? Won`t she light a lamp, sweep the floor, and look carefully until she finds it? Then she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, `Let`s celebrate! I`ve found the coin I lost.`
Jesus said, `In the same way God`s angels are happy when even one person turns to him.`
**Let us be reminded of WHAT JESUS SAID:
`In the same way there is more happiness in heaven because of one sinner who turns to God than over ninety-nine good people who don`t need to.`
`In the same way God`s angels are happy when even one person turns to him.`
Can I encourage YOU, that one person coming to Christ is more important than all others who already know Christ. Jesus is saying to us that all of us who are already saved are highly important but the rejoicing has been done over our lives, all of heaven is waiting for the next party, the next ONE that comes to Jesus. Our focus should always be on the ONE that does NOT know Christ. God loves you, you are His child, and you will always be in His thoughts but those who do not know Him CONSUME him.
The theme of our lives must be the ONE that does not know Christ. We are to encourage Christians to grow in their relationship with God BUT we are to keep our hearts focused on the ONE who does not know Christ.
Go ahead, be about what Jesus has always been about, the ONE who does not know Him. Let`s believe God for a great harvest of souls in our nation by reaching one by one.
